Clay City Member of County Assembly Mwaura Samora has promised to construct a modem Maji Mazuri market that will boost economic activities and offer businesses premises to about 1200 people

Speaking on Saturday 5th April, Samora disclosed that he lobbied to the Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and has funded the project with a tune of a whopping Ksh 450 million, completion expected before the end of 2025

‘’I want to thank His Excellency, President William Ruto and the Governor of Nairobi for facilitating the project. Clay City Market will also have spaces for garages, hotels, and a recreational facility with modern illuminating lights,’’ Samora stated.

He said that there were so many public land that wound have been put up modern market but for the government to choose clay city is a blessing to his people and is committed to make sure that everything runs smoothly

Samora further added that the modern stage that was completed recently has helped in decongesting matatus plying alongside mwiki-kasarani road

“That modern stage has eased the transport sector because matatus were being stuck alongside the road, but now people can access workplaces on time. This will catapult human capital and economic growth in our city,” he remarked

The MCA also maintained that Muring’o Road is complete, and he has solved the challenges that had stalled Santon Road which contractors had stopped over land tussles

The road is expected to be complete before the end of this year.
